Review: HOLY CRAP!!!
Ok…ok…ok…so…I straight up did NOT foresee this episode going down the way it did.
First off, lets get some stuff out of the way before I talk about the mind blowing last 20 minutes.
Always great to see Bill Paxton again, and he just fits in this show so much it hurts me that he’s not a regular cast member. Same goes for J. August Richards as he really sells the tragic elements of Deathlok in this episode.
Ok…now…here’s where I get SUPER SPOILERY.
So, seriously…last warning…..
So for a while now, there has been talk from folks who have seen Captain America: The Winter Solider and the main thing they keep talking about is…
“How will Agents of SHIELD keep going after what happens in the movie?”
And for a moment it seems like it they’re right.
Hydra starts destroying EVERYTHING…Fury is on the run (and YES, Sam Jackson does return) and in all honesty…it seems like S.H.I.E.L.D. is done.
But Phil and his gang are the last survivors. Taking some untested equipment, vehicles and unknown weapons, the team gets ready to form their new plan of attack.
And this time, they are doing it in style.
Inspired by the other costumed individuals in the Marvel Universe, Phil and his team have decided to “SUIT UP”!
Agent Phil Coulson will now be referred to as
Agent One! AKA Agent Red!
Agent Ward will now be known as….
Agent Two! AKA Agent Blue!
While I don’t think they thought this through making one of the Asian characters this color, but they committed to it already, so what can we do. Skye is now…
Agent Three! AKA Agent Yellow!
Jemma is finally ready for the battlefield as she is now….
Agent Four! AKA Agent Pink!
Where Simmons goes, Fitz is not far behind. Fitz is now….
Agent Five! AKA Agent Green! (Maybe he’s this color because of his love for Pesto Turkey sandwiches?)
Of course…we still need the Calvary.
Agent Melinda May has always been the best fighter…so now she becomes the most powerful member of the group. She is now called…..
AGENT BOMBER!! Whoa! And yes! She IS holding a missile!
Sadly…the Bus did not survive the attack.
So the team has now been updated with their brand ride. Introducing……
The EAGLE!
I have no idea how to feel about the shows bold and crazy new direction, but I’m kinda psyche! Bring on the next episode!!!
…….oh…and April Fools.
(The group shot above was done by Agent Earl Baylon)
