We have all been very patiently waiting to find out what comes next after last season’s Flash cliffhanger and what will be in store for the Arrow crew in Season 4 of the hit CW show! Here’s what has been revealed so far:

Arrow

Felicity and Roy are dating?!?!?!?!?!?!
I’m not really sure if this is true or not, but there’s significant fan speculation that Emily Bett Rickards, the actress who plays Felicity, is dating Colton Hanes, the actor who played Roy Harper. Frankly I think it’s a much better match than Felicity and Oliver! The two insist that they are just friends but after some of the pictures they’ve posted together and a recent vacation they went on together, who can say? However, it seems pretty clear that they won’t be an item on the show.

What about Thea???

New Arrow…Cave
Yeah we’ve been over this naming conundrum multiple times but that aside, it looks like Ollie and his crew will be getting some new digs next season!

From an Entertainment Weekly interview: “In designing the new lair, we had to think in terms of the much larger group that Oliver has now surrounded himself with and how Team Arrow is a much bigger enterprise,” says executive producer Marc Guggenheim.

“One of the fun things about this lair is that as opposed to one big space, where everyone would congregate, it’s now a much larger space divided up into smaller spaces,” he continues. “There is an area for Felicity to work, there is an area for Oliver to work out, and there is a garage. There are many different places we’ll continue to discover over the course of the season that give you a sense that this thing is a bit bigger than we got used to in the first three years.”

Arrow is Green?

Evidently the producers have decided that Arrow needs to return to it’s roots, and the best way to do that is to shift the brand back to Green Arrow. He’ll be sporting a new costume that looks a little bit more like the comic book hero, and I’m not exactly sure whether or not he will be referred to as “Green Arrow” or what they’re going to do to make it more Green Arrow-y, we’ll just have to see.

Arrow meets Constantine

Last season’s Constantine was a great concept for a show and in my humble opinon, had a really good lead actor for the role (even though I had some other quibbles with the now-cancelled show.) It’s recently been announced that Constantine will make an appearance next season and work together with Arrow in a special cross-over episode. I’m kind of excited about this! Maybe Constantine wasn’t executed well, but he’s still a great DC Universe character and perhaps he’ll have a better shot at staying power with crossover episodes here or there instead of trying to carry a full show.

Flash

Where did we leave off again?

The Flash was a smashing success last season, and certainly exceeded all of my expectations. Its light-hearted tone, fun writing, and interesting villains kept me captivated all season long. It’s been confirmed that for next season, we’ll actually be meeting some additional Flash characters. Fans of the comics know that Barry Allen is only one of a few characters to hold the identity of the Flash. Jay Garrick and Wally West, two other Flash characters, will also make their debut next season. I’m not really sure how the show is going to handle all of this, but I’m definitely interested to see it try!

Putting different versions of the Flash in the same timeline is done by means of Earth-Two. I’m not exactly a comics buff, so I had to look this one up. Apparently it’s a universe that was designed by DC for the very purpose of allowing Silver Age versions of characters to exist simultaneously with the Golden Age versions of the same superhero.

New Season, New Villains

Last season we had our share of villains of the week, as well as a few that had longer over-arching story arcs such as Captain Cold and Eobard Thawne. But with Cold taking a main role in the new show DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Thawne now out of the picture, who are we expecting to see next season?

I am going to miss this guy…he was a GREAT villain.

There are several rumors about the new baddies floating around. First, we will almost certainly see Vandal Savage in some capacity, since he’s slated to be the main antagonist in Legends of Tomorrow, which the Flash is involved in to some extent. It’s also been confirmed that Killer Frost will at some point make an appearance in the show by Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow. It’s possible that we could see Caitlin’s character transform into Killer Frost this coming season. The character Zoom has also been announced and the producers have said that he’ll be trickier to catch than the Reverse-Flash. However, his identity remains unknown at this point.

The Flash will premiere on Tuesday, October 6th and Arrow will premiere on Wednesday, October 7th.
